Resume Preparation Tips: Handling Unsuccessful Emails
When you receive an email rejection always reply to find out why. Many times, you will get a generic answer, however, sometimes the recruiter will give you some solid feedback which you can use to make a change.
A simple email response template I recommend is as follows:
Hi [Insert recruiter's first name only], Thank you for your reply. It is a shame I wasn’t as successful as I was hoping to build on my [insert something relevant] experience. So I can ensure my application aligns to the role if it comes up again, can you please provide me with some feedback about how I can improve my application? I have attached my resume and cover letter to the email to save you some time. I look forward to your response. Kind regards,

At The Perfect Resume, we do not claim to have a 100% success rate.
