A business analyst resume should connect a business problem with the analysis you performed and the decision or improvement it supported. Explain the stakeholders, requirements and deliverables. A list of tools or methodologies is less convincing than a project that makes your contribution clear.

Explain what your analysis changed

Describe the initial problem, the evidence you gathered, the deliverable and what happened next. A process map might expose duplicate handling; a workshop might resolve conflicting requirements. Make the link between your work and the decision visible.

Separate proposed benefits from measured results. If a business case forecast savings, call them forecast savings. If a change reduced processing time, give the comparison period, measurement and your contribution. Do not claim the full programme's financial outcome as a personal achievement.

Put methods and tools in context

Connect stakeholder interviews, process mapping, data analysis and requirements documentation to a project. Name tools only where you used them and explain the purpose. Avoid claiming advanced SQL or financial modelling from brief exposure.
