Was referred to Melissa & the team during height of recent pandemic, and the speed in which they fully converted my CV into a presentable & deliverable item was excellent. The way in which they used my words, experience & talent into a must have employee was great. The hard part is to keep up with key words used within algorithmic processes many talent recruiters use across varying job placement adverts. A resume or CV is an ever changing document which needs to be individually edited for each applied role. Perhaps some side coaching on this Melissa would be huge. Overall, would recommend Melissa & The Perfect Resume team highly.

Working with the team at "The Perfect Resume" was one of the best decision I made! I was applying for a competitive job position and with the the help of their team, I managed to securely obtain the position! I had my resume, cover letter and did a practice interview with the team and they did not disappoint. I was abit hesitant at first due to the cost however, going through the process I realize it was worth it. I worked with Melissa and Felicity, and they were the most passionate and experienced individuals I met. Felicity did a practice interview with me on a Saturday (two days before my job interview), with only one day notice and was ill (if that's not passion, I don't know what is). Further, despite feeling ill, Felicity still showed up with a smile and passionate energy. Melissa managed to review my resume with quick turn around time and made my resume and cover letter look pristine and reflect the job position role. Changing directions in my career was a decision that I made after extensive research into my core values and my subsequent desire to work in a role that aligns with such values. Anyone working in the healthcare sector would empathise with the arduous task of the job application process, more so in the Government sector - Resume, selection criteria, cover letter, and immunisation documentation. The thought bought out my best procrastination skills and my eventual discovery of Melissa and the team at The Perfect Resume (TPR) through searching on LinkedIn. From the moment I browsed through the comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing website, I was reassured I had come to the right place. The old saying You get back what you put in couldnt be more apt. After some coaching at our initial phone call, Melissa encouraged me to provide specific examples of accomplishments in my previous roles. I accepted this task and immersed myself into five years of quality improvement activities to provide in the Resume Building Questionnaire. Some nine hours later, I had finally completed the document and returned it to TPR. I felt confident Melissa could sort through the plethora of data I provided her to produce great examples to utilise in my Resume. Melissa was extremely professional in her communication and instead of cursing me (!) she said it was a nice challenge to cull the many great examples I provided. The result I received for my Resume one word Wow! Next I communicated with Pauline who kindly worked tirelessly on my tailored cover letter and scripted it to read in such an appealing way that I had to stop and think - wow I am a professional person worthy of the jobs I am applying for. The team has a diverse range of writers suited to whatever your profession. My resume looked like a preschool diorama, which was not able to be read through recruitment software. Mel was transforming my former, structured and detailed resume into a brand new resume, which is designed to be recognised by the recruiting algorithms. Indeed, despite many of us having well written, logical, good looking resumes, it is very probable that our own version would fail to be picked by the recruiters' algorithms. She knows the tricks and hows of making sure that the transformed resume content now is absorbed by large systems and the HR personnel or recruiter will be motivated to open the resume. Which is the key factor. For me there is another critical factor though. Mel and her team deal with tailored cover letters or screening questions as well. In my case this was always the missing link. I know what the messages I want to convey and I can provide the various points for the applications. Still, my answers are lengthy or too detailed or just simply cannot achieve an easy to read text. And this is a huge problem, a lose-lose situation both for the employer and the employee. Nowadays the illogical trend prevails that in all positions the same routine applied. An entry level filter, which causes a large proportion of applicants to be lost from the scope of recruiters. All this based on a criteria, which is not necessary for many of the roles - or at least not a significant trait. Moreover, sometimes contradicting the role. The reason why a detail oriented professional is good at the role, which requires detail oriented acumen, is because his/her talent determines that they are not good at the opposite, i.e. providing simplified, uncontrolled, easy to read documents. Such a person is good to go after suspected critical factors, rethinking all options twice, substantiating every factor by other factors, etc. Here comes the huge help by The Perfect Resume and Mel. They can help all such applicants like me, from whom such characteristics are required, which are not necessary for the role, but it is possible to get the role only, if we can get to the interview stage. The Perfect Resume helps you reach the interview stage!
