Service Details

Are you looking at becoming a Teacher’s Aid? They help classroom teachers with non-teaching duties such as preparing resources and teaching materials and performing general administrative classroom tasks. Teacher’s Aides are different from Assistant Teachers in that Aides are responsible for general classroom tasks, whereas Assistant Teachers are qualified to provide instructional support.

The role of the Teacher Aide is varied; in addition to providing classroom support and preparing resources, some Teacher Aides provide support to particular groups of students, including those with specific learning needs, students with a disability and those with English as a second language.

Currently, there are only 111 positions for Teacher’s Aid across Australia, with a common salary of $50K per year.
