Build a useful workshop example

Describe the concern, your investigative contribution, the approved work and the verification recorded. Keep the explanation at resume level; a recruiter needs evidence of your reasoning and responsibility, not a repair manual. Do not include customer identifiers or confidential job records.

Name systems, vehicle categories and diagnostic tools you genuinely used. Distinguish identifying a fault from replacing a part under instruction. If your experience covers a particular manufacturer or vehicle technology, describe the relevant training and practical work accurately.

Support claims about productivity and quality

Workshop figures should identify the period and definition. Jobs completed, hours billed and customer satisfaction measure different things. Explain whether a result was yours or the team's and avoid claiming that faster work alone proves better quality.

Without reliable figures, describe an observable improvement: clearer job-card notes, an effective handover or identifying information needed before work could proceed. Keep the connection between your action and the result clear.

Apprenticeships and qualifications

State your apprenticeship stage, completed training and tasks carried out under supervision. List qualifications and licences by their actual names and current status. Do not copy overseas certificates or old course codes as though they are Australian requirements.
